Warning! Work should only be started after the engine has cooled to a safe temperature (not higher than 45°C).
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair")/
2. Remove the decorative engine cover (see "Engine trim panel - removal and installation") and the air supply hose to the throttle valve (see "Throttle valve - drive adjustment").
Note: The hose will get in the way, especially when installing a new cable.
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, pry up the locking spring and remove it from the sector.
4. Turn the sector counterclockwise until it stops and remove the cable tip from the sector slot.
5. Remove the cable sheath locking plate and pull the cable sheath out of the rubber holder. We remove the cable together with the rubber holder from the cable sheath mounting bracket (the bracket is made integral with the intake module).

6. Disconnect the cable holder from the bracket.
7. Using a screwdriver, pry the end of the throttle cable from the gas pedal lever under the instrument panel.
8. Pull the end of the cable out of the passenger compartment through the hole in the engine compartment bulkhead and remove the cable together with the rubber holder.
Installation
We install the throttle cable in the reverse order.
After installing the cable, we adjust the throttle drive and install the air supply hose (see "Throttle valve - drive adjustment").
