Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Loosen clamp 1 securing the air duct to the mass air flow sensor pipe. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the mass air flow sensor 2.

3. Disconnect the purge valve of the adsorber from the air filter housing (see "Evaporative Canister Purge Valve - Checking and Replacing").
4. Remove the rubber struts from engagement with the air filter housing.

5. Disconnect the air intake from the air filter pipe and remove the air filter housing together with the mass air flow sensor from the engine compartment.

6. If it is necessary to remove the air intake of the air filter, remove the decorative engine cover (see "Engine trim panel - removal and installation").
7. Using a 10 mm socket wrench with a ratchet, unscrew the nut securing the air intake to the cooling system radiator.

8. Remove the air intake together with the connecting hose from the opening between the radiator and the engine intake module.

Installation
We install the air filter in the reverse order.
