1. Open the hood and remove the decorative engine cover (see "Removing and installing the decorative engine cover").
2. To visually check the movement of the throttle valve, loosen the mounting clamp and disconnect the air supply hose from the throttle assembly pipe (see "Cleaning the crankcase ventilation system").

3. With the accelerator pedal fully depressed (performed by an assistant) check the position of the throttle valve - it should be fully open.

4. When the accelerator pedal is released, the throttle valve should be completely closed. Otherwise, the drive must be adjusted.

5. Remove the spring lock…

6. …and, by moving the casing 1 of the cable, adjust the free play of the cable. After adjustment, install the stopper tightly against the rubber bushing 2.
Note: If the cable is adjusted correctly, the deflection of its branch between the end of the sheath and the sector of the throttle assembly from the force of the hand should be no more than 3 mm.
