You will need two 13 mm keys.
1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit or overpass.
2. Check the position of the parking brake lever, which should be in the extreme lower position.

3. Loosen the lock nut while holding the tensioner adjusting nut with another wrench.

4. Tighten the adjusting nut 1, holding the rod 2 with pliers, until the parking brake drive cable is tensioned.
5. Make sure the full travel of the parking brake lever is 2-4 clicks.
6. After checking the working stroke, tighten the equalizer lock nut while holding the adjusting nut with a wrench.
7. Lower the parking brake lever all the way down and turn the rear wheels by hand. They should rotate evenly, without jamming. If the parking brake cable cannot be tightened during adjustment, it must be replaced.
Note: When the parking brake is properly adjusted, the brake drums should not become hot while the vehicle is moving without braking.
