During vehicle operation, due to wear of the rear brake pads and stretching of the drive cables, it is periodically necessary to adjust the stroke of the parking brake lever.
The stroke of the parking brake lever should be 2-4 clicks. At the same time, the braking system should reliably hold the equipped vehicle on a slope of 23%. If this is not the case, check the condition of the parking brake system and, if necessary, adjust it ("Parking brake - adjustment") and replace worn or damaged parts, after which we repeat the check.
The front brake mechanism is disc, ventilated, with a floating caliper and one working cylinder. The brake disc is cast iron, its minimum permissible thickness during wear is 17.8 mm. The gap between the brake pads and the disc is maintained due to the elasticity of the rubber sealing ring installed in the groove of the wall of the working cylinder.
