You will need: key «on 10», special candle wrench «at 16», special probe.
Note. The candle key must be equipped with a rubber sleeve or a magnetic insert to hold the candle, otherwise it will be quite difficult to remove the candle from the candle well.
1. Open the hood and remove the decorative engine cover (see «Removal and installation of a decorative casing of the engine»).
2. Press the latch..
3.... and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the ignition module.
4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the module of ignition to a cover of a head of the block …
5.... and remove the ignition module from the spark plug well.
6. Unscrew the candle with a special key..
7.... and remove it from the candle well.
Note. If you cannot remove the spark plug with a wrench, you can do this using the ignition module by putting its tip on the spark plug insulator and removing them from the spark plug well.
Note. Inspect the candle and evaluate its condition by appearance (see «Diagnostics of the engine condition by the appearance of spark plugs»).
8. Clean the plug of dirt using a sandblaster with fine abrasive material.
Attention! Do not clean the candles with a hard metal brush to avoid the appearance of fine metal dust on the ceramic insulator of the central electrode, which provokes the leakage of a spark.
9. Check the gap between the spark plug electrodes with a round probe (see annex 4).
10. If the gap differs from the recommended value, adjust it by bending the side electrode to a large..
11.... or the smaller side.
Attention! Adjust the gap only by bending the side electrode. Any bending of the center electrode will break the spark plug insulator.
12. When installing spark plugs, screw them in first by hand (without collar), and then tighten with a wrench. Do not exceed the tightening torque specified in appendix 1.
