Removal and installation the steering cardan shaft (Kalina 1118)

To remove and install the steering cardan shaft on a car, you will need: a flat-blade screwdriver and a 13 mm wrench.



1. Loosen the nut and remove the bolt of the clamp that secures the upper and lower hinges.

2. Mark the relative positions of the universal joint and the electric power steering shaft...



3. ...unscrew the nut of the universal joint clamp bolt and remove the bolt from the clamp.



4. Slide the universal joint onto the universal joint shaft, thereby removing it from the electric power steering shaft, and remove the universal joint from the shaft.



5. Mark the position of the drive shaft on the drive pinion...

6. ...unscrew the nut and remove the bolt from the mounting clamp.



7. Spread the clamp with a screwdriver and remove the steering cardan shaft from the drive pinion.

8. Install the steering cardan shaft on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
