1. Raise and place the front of the vehicle on stands. Remove the wheel from the car.
2. Turn away a nut of fastening of the spherical hinge.
3. Press the ball joint pin out of the lever using a puller.
4. Turn away two bolts of fastening of the spherical hinge to a rotary fist.
5. Press the lever down and remove the ball joint.
6. Rock the ball stud in the bearing. The ball pin must not move due to the force of the hand (play is allowed no more than 0.7 mm).
7. If the ball pin moves in the bearing with little effort, replace the ball joint.
8. If the ball joint boot has been torn, remove the top dirty grease (if it is noticeable that dirt has got inside the ball joint, it will have to be replaced) and apply new grease.
9. Install the spacer until it stops.
10. Fill the new boot halfway with grease.
11. Establish on the car a spherical support in an order, the return to removal. Before installing the boot, it is recommended to apply sealant to the surface of the ball joint.
After lowering the car to the ground, rock it hard several times. Tighten the nut of the ball joint to the lever with a torque of 80-96 Nm (8.0-9.6 kgf·m), ball joint nut to steering knuckle - 50-63 N·m (5.0-6.3 kgf·m). After a run of 100 km, re-tighten these threaded connections to the required torque.
