It is recommended to replace a faulty brake pressure regulator as an assembly.
To remove, install and replace the brake pressure regulator on a car, you will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, a 13 mm wrench, a 13 mm socket wrench (head), and a special 10 mm wrench for unscrewing the brake pipe nuts.

1. Release the elastic lever of the brake pressure regulator drive by lifting the bracket up. If necessary, use a screwdriver to slightly loosen the earring clip.

2. Disconnect the elastic lever of the brake pressure regulator drive from the clevis and remove the clevis bracket.

3. Place a container under the junction of the brake pipes with the brake pressure regulator, as a certain amount of brake fluid will flow out from there, and disconnect the four brake pipes from the brake pressure regulator by unscrewing the nuts that secure them. Seal the brake pipe openings, for example, with protective caps for the wheel brake cylinder bleeder nipples. Mark the brake pipes to avoid confusion when installing the brake pressure regulator later.

4. Unscrew the front bolt securing the pressure regulator to the bracket.

5. From the bracket side, unscrew the rear brake pressure regulator mounting bolt and remove the brake pressure regulator assembly with the drive.

6. If it is necessary to replace the drive parts, unscrew the locking lever mounting bolt and disconnect the drive lever from the elastic lever.

7. When connecting the drive lever to the elastic lever, the locking fork must enter the groove on the elastic lever.
8. Install the brake pressure regulator on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal. Please note: the front mounting bolt is longer than the rear one.

9. It may happen that the lever spring will interfere with the installation of the brake pressure regulator. In this case, move the drive lever by the protrusion as far forward as possible.
10. After installing the brake pressure regulator, use pliers to crimp the shackle clamp. Then bleed the brake system and adjust the pressure regulator drive (see "Adjusting the brake pressure regulator drive").
