Note. The minimum allowable brake disc thickness is 17.8 mm. If the thickness of the brake disc is thinner, it must be replaced.
To remove, install and replace the front wheel brake disc on a car, you will need: «on 7», socket wrench (head) «at 17».
1. Remove the front brake caliper from the corresponding side (see «Removal and installation of the working cylinder of the forward brake mechanism»).
2. Hang the brake mechanism on a rope or wire to the parts of the front suspension. Make sure that the brake hose is not kinked or overstretched.
3. Turn out two bolts of fastening and remove a directing bracket of brake pads.
4. Clean the brake disc from dirt. Apply liquid wrench type WD-40 to the brake disc-hub junctions and to the drive pins. Wait a bit for the rust to dissolve.
5. Turn out two directing pins and remove a brake disk.
6. Install the brake disc on the vehicle in reverse order. If you are installing an old brake disc, then file off the beads on both sides of it, which were formed as a result of the wear of the brake disc.
