Removal and installation the brake booster (Kalina 1118)

To remove and install the brake booster on a car, you will need: a 13 mm wrench and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Remove the battery (see "Removal and installation the battery").

2. Unscrew the two nuts securing the master brake cylinder to the brake booster.

3. Without bending or twisting the brake pipes, carefully move the master brake cylinder to the side.

4. While holding the check valve, disconnect the hose from it.



5. From inside the passenger compartment, remove the retaining clip from the brake pedal pin.



6. Remove the brake pedal pin, thereby disconnecting the vacuum booster pushrod from the brake pedal.

7. Loosen the brake booster mounting nuts.

8. Remove the brake booster.



9. Install the brake booster on the vehicle in reverse order, apply sealant to the contact surface of the brake booster with the front shield.
