When the ignition is on, the parking brake indicator light comes on on the instrument panel.
Warning: Make sure the parking brake lever is in the down position before driving. Even short-term driving with the parking brake on can lead to overheating and failure of the rear wheel brakes.
To release the parking brake, first pull the lever up slightly and then, by pressing the button located on the end of the handle, lower the lever.
