A defective pressure regulator is recommended to be replaced as an assembly.
You will need: flat blade screwdriver, wrench «for 8», «at 13», socket wrench (head) «at 13», special key «on 10» for loosening the brake pipe nuts.
1. Prying off with a screwdriver, remove the lock washer of the earring of the elastic lever of the regulator drive and the flat washer installed under it.
2. Disconnect the elastic arm with an earring from a beam of a back suspension bracket.
3. To avoid having to adjust the pressure regulator actuator during installation, mark the position of the actuator lever relative to the bracket.
4. Substitute a container under the junction of the tubes with the regulator, since liquid will flow from there, and with a special key «on 10» Loosen the four brake pipe nuts.
5. Disconnect tubing from regulator. Plug the tube openings, for example, with protective caps for the wheel cylinder bleed valves. Mark the tubes so as not to confuse them during further installation of the regulator.
6. Key «at 13» remove the front bolt securing the regulator to the bracket.
7. Key «at 13» unscrew the rear bolt securing the regulator..
8.... and remove the regulator with the drive from the car.
This is how the pressure regulator removed from the car looks like..
...and his drive.
9. If it is necessary to replace the drive parts, pry with a screwdriver and remove the earring bracket from the elastic lever.
10. Remove from the lever a bracket together with an earring.
11. Key «for 8» Remove the lever retainer bolt.
12. Remove the lever lock and disconnect the drive lever from the resilient lever.
13. When connecting the drive lever to the elastic lever, the latch fork must enter the groove on the elastic lever.
14. Install the regulator in the reverse order of removal. Please note that the front mounting bolt is longer than the rear.
15. After installing the regulator, crimp the earring bracket with pliers. Then bleed the brake system and, if necessary, adjust the pressure regulator drive (see «Pressure Regulator Actuator Adjustment»).
