Recommendation. If you suspect that the pressure regulator is faulty, it must be replaced.
Removal
1. Remove the fuel module (see "Fuel module - removal and installation").
2. Disconnect the wire tip from the fuel pressure regulator (see above, "Fuel Module - Fuel Gauge Sensor Replacement").
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, pry up and remove the spring retainer of the pressure regulator.
4. Remove the regulator from the fuel module cover.
Installation
We install a new fuel pressure regulator in the reverse order, having first applied a thin layer of engine oil to the sealing rings.
