Comment. One cause of low fuel rail pressure could be a dirty fuel module strainer.
Removing
1. Remove the fuel module (see «Fuel module - removal and installation»).
2. Remove the fuel gauge sensor from the intake chamber (see above, «Fuel module - fuel gauge sensor replacement»).
3. Prying with a screwdriver, disconnect the drain tube from the intake chamber.
Warning! With a marker, mark the guide on which the spring is put on. It is impossible to rearrange the spring to another guide.
4. Remove the guide covers from the intake chamber of the fuel module.
5. We release the three latches and remove the fuel pump housing assembly with the strainer from the intake chamber.
6. Remove dirt deposits from the intake chamber of the fuel module and wash in clean gasoline.
7. We wash the mesh filter in a solvent for nitro-paint and blow it with compressed air (from compressor or foot pump).
Recommendation. If the mesh filter is very dirty and cannot be cleaned, replace it (see below).
Installation
We assemble the fuel module in the reverse order of disassembly.
