The cylinder head contains one camshaft, eight valves and eight valve lifters with adjusting washers. The camshaft supports are made in the head. Two camshaft bearing housings are bolted to the upper plane of the head. The gas distribution mechanism is covered from above by a cover with an oil filler neck. The camshaft position sensor is installed in the cylinder head plug, and a pin is installed at the rear end of the shaft, designed to detect the position of the shaft by the sensor.
The camshaft and coolant pump are driven by a toothed belt from a toothed pulley mounted on the engine crankshaft. The belt tension and direction of its movement along the pulleys is achieved by a tension roller.
