Removing
1. We prepare the car for work and disconnect the terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Prying with a screwdriver, remove the plug from the wiper arm.
3. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the nut securing the wiper arm and remove the arm.
Advice. If the lever sits tightly on the splines of the shaft, then, in order not to bend the shaft, screw the nut onto the thread, and press the lever off the shaft with sliding pliers.
4. Similarly, remove the second wiper arm.
5. Remove the air intake grille (see «Air intake grille - removal and installation»).
6. We release the holder of the connecting block of the wiper motor-reducer.
7. Disconnect the windshield wiper wiring harness block from the car's on-board network.
8. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts 1 and nut 2 for fastening the wiper.
9. Carefully remove the wiper from the air intake box.
Installation
Install the windshield wiper in reverse order.
Recommendation. If the wiper is new or refurbished, the arms should be installed last. Before installing the levers, connect the wiper to the car's on-board network and turn on intermittent operation. Once the wiper has completed a full cycle and stops, turn it off. And after that, install the levers in the lower position of the glass. If you cannot install the levers so that the wiper works correctly, you should rearrange the crank on the shaft of the gear motor (see below, «Windshield wiper - gear motor replacement».
