Windshield wiper design features (Priora 2170)

The windshield wiper assembly consists of a gear motor (electric motor with gearbox), levers and brushes. The cleaner's electric motor is excited by permanent magnets, has three brushes and two rotation speeds. To protect the electric motor from overloads, a thermal bimetallic fuse is installed in the cleaner, and capacitors and chokes are used to reduce radio interference.

The cleaner operates in three modes:

• Mode I is intermittent and is provided by the electronic relay K6, installed in the mounting block. This relay also switches on the wiper motor reducer (low speed) when turning on the windshield washer;
• Mode II - continuous, with low brush speed;
• Mode III - constant, with high brush speed.
