Checking and replacing the washer pump with an electric motor (Priora 2170)

If no fluid comes out of the washer, check the fuse for the power supply circuit of the electric motor. If the fuse is good, check the motor power supply circuit and the motor itself.

You will need a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Remove the battery (see "Removing and installing the battery").



2. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the washer pump motor terminals.



3. Connect the motor leads to a 12V DC power source. If the motor does not operate or the pump does not deliver fluid, replace the motor and motor assembly.



4. Remove the pump by carefully pulling it out of the tank.





5. Pry it off with a screwdriver..



6. …remove the pump seal. Replace the rubber pump seal that is torn or has lost its elasticity. Install the pump in the reverse order of removal.
