The intake module is removed from the vehicle if it is damaged and to replace the sealing gaskets between the module and intake pipe pipes.

To replace the intake module on a car, you will need: a 10 mm wrench, a 13 mm socket head, and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the decorative engine cover (see "Removal and installation the decorative engine cover").

3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors, hoses and air inlet pipe from the throttle assembly (see "Removal and installation the throttle assembly").

4. Disconnect the throttle actuator cable from the throttle assembly sector and the cable casing from the bracket on the intake pipe (see "Adjusting and replacing the throttle cable").

5. Loosen the clamp securing the hose to the brake booster and remove the hose from the intake module fitting.

9. ...and remove the intake module assembly with the throttle body from the intake pipe studs.

10. If it is necessary to replace the intake module, disconnect the throttle assembly from it by unscrewing the two mounting nuts (see "Removal and installation the throttle assembly").



11. Remove the sealing gaskets from the intake module pipes and install new gaskets into the pipe grooves.

12. Before installing the intake module, clean the mating surface of the intake pipe from gasket residue and dirt.

13. Install the intake module and all removed parts and assemblies on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.

14. Check and, if necessary, adjust the throttle actuator (see "Adjusting and replacing the throttle cable").
