To replace the fuel vapor recovery system components on your vehicle, you will need: a 10 mm wrench, flat-head and Phillips-head screwdrivers.

Gasoline vapor separator on the car it is installed in the niche of the rear right wheel. To remove the gasoline vapor separator, perform the following work.

1. Loosen the fuel drain hose clamp...

2. ...and remove the hose from the fuel vapor separator fitting.

3. Unscrew the three nuts securing the gasoline vapor separator to the body...

4. ...move the gasoline vapor separator downwards...

5. ... remove the gravity valve from the gasoline vapor separator opening and remove the separator.
6. Install the gasoline vapor separator on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.

Gravity valve installed on the gasoline vapor separator. To remove the gravity valve, follow these steps:.
1. Remove the gasoline vapor separator (see above pp. 1-6) and, using a screwdriver, remove the gravity valve from the separator hole.

2. Note that the gravity valve is sealed in the separator opening with a rubber bushing. Replace a heavily compressed, hardened or torn bushing.

3. After depressing the spring clip, remove the gravity valve hose tip from the fuel tank hose fitting.

4. Unscrew the two nuts...

5. ...unscrew the two bolts, remove the plastic hose holders...

6. ...and remove the gravity valve assembly with the hose.
7. Install the gravity valve on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.

Fuel vapor recovery system adsorber installed on the fuel tank. Due to the specific layout of the vehicle, access to its mount directly on the vehicle is not possible. Therefore, to remove the canister from the vehicle, do the following.
1. Remove the fuel tank (see "Replacing the fuel tank (gas tank) and its filler pipe").

2. Remove the purge hose from the fuel tank holders.

3. Unscrew the nut of the adsorber mounting clamp and remove the clamp, removing its other end from the retainer on the fuel tank.
4. Using a screwdriver, press the plastic retainer and remove the canister from the fuel tank.
5. Install the canister and all removed parts on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.

Evaporative Canister Purge Valve installed in the engine compartment on the radiator frame.
To remove the purge valve from the adsorber, perform the following work.
1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the purge valve by pressing the locking tab.

2. After pressing the spring lock, disconnect the fuel vapor supply line tip from the purge valve nipple of the adsorber.

3. Loosen the clamp securing the fuel vapor supply hose to the throttle body and disconnect the hose from the end of the purge valve hose of the adsorber.

4. Using a screwdriver, slide the purge valve of the adsorber up along the bracket and remove the valve.
5. Install the purge valve on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
