To replace the evaporative emission system components on a vehicle, you will need: «on 10», flat and Phillips screwdrivers.
Gasoline vapor separator on the car is installed in a niche of the rear right wheel. To remove the gasoline vapor separator, perform the following work.
1. Loosen the clamp securing the fuel drain hose...
2.... and remove the hose from the fitting of the gasoline vapor separator.
3. Turn away three nuts of fastening of a separator of vapors of gasoline to a body...
4.... move the gasoline vapor separator down...
5.... remove the gravity valve from the opening of the gasoline vapor separator and remove the separator.
6. Establish on the car a separator of vapors of gasoline in sequence, return to removal.
gravity valve installed on the gasoline vapor separator. To remove the gravity valve, do the following.
1. Remove the gasoline vapor separator (see paragraphs above. 1-6) and, prying with a screwdriver, remove the gravity valve from the separator hole.
2. Please note that the gravity valve is sealed in the separator hole with a rubber bushing. Replace heavily compressed, hardened or torn bushing.
3. After depressing the spring retainer, remove the gravity valve hose end from the fuel tank hose fitting.
4. Turn off two nuts...
5.... unscrew the two bolts, remove the plastic hose holders...
6.... and remove the gravity valve assembly with the hose.
7. Install the gravity valve to the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
Evaporative Emissions Adsorber installed on the fuel tank. Due to the layout of the vehicle, access to the mounting directly on the vehicle is not possible. Therefore, to remove the adsorber from the car, do the following.
1. Remove the fuel tank (see «Fuel tank replacement (gas tank) and its filling pipe»).
2. Remove the canister purge hose from the holders on the fuel tank.
3. Turn away a nut of a collar of fastening of an adsorber and remove a collar, having removed its second end from a clamp on a fuel tank.
4. Having pressed the plastic retainer with a screwdriver, remove the adsorber from the fuel tank.
5. Install the adsorber and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal.
Canister purge valve installed in the engine compartment on the radiator frame.
To remove the canister purge valve, perform the following work.
1. Disconnect the harness connector from the canister purge valve by depressing the retainer of its fastening.
2. Having pressed the spring retainer, disconnect the tip of the fuel vapor supply line from the canister purge valve fitting.
3. Loosen the clamp on the fuel vapor supply hose to the throttle assembly and disconnect the hose from the canister purge valve hose tip.
4. Using a screwdriver, slide the canister purge valve up the bracket and remove the valve.
5. Install the canister purge valve to the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
