You will need: key «on 10», flat blade screwdriver.
Note. Before removing the components of the evaporative emission system, disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
Fuel vapor separator installed in the niche of the left rear wheel.
1. Place the vehicle on a lift or inspection ditch.
2. Remove the left rear wheel (see «Wheel replacement»).
3. To remove the separator, squeeze the lock of the quick connector..
4.... and remove the fuel drain pipe from the gas tank fitting.
5. Pry off the holder of the fuel drain tube with a screwdriver..
6.... and release the holder along with the tube.
7. Unscrew the nut that secures the holder of the steam outlet tube from the separator to the adsorber.
8. Open the steam tubes by squeezing the quick connector lock.
9. Turn away four nuts of fastening of holders of a vapourotvodushchy tube and a tube of drain of fuel.
10. Turn away two nuts of fastening of an arm of a separator to a body …
11.... and remove the separator assembly with bracket, tubes and gravity valve.
Note. This is what the separator looks like. Purchase the exact same one with tubes and a gravity valve for replacement, as the tubes are non-removable.
12. Install the fuel vapor separator in the reverse order of removal.
Adsorber The vapor recovery system is installed in the engine compartment on the radiator grille on the right. Due to the layout of the car, access to its mounting directly on the car is quite simple.
1. To remove the adsorber, squeeze the lock of the quick connector..
2.... and remove the fuel vapor supply pipe to the purge valve. Disconnect the fuel vapor intake pipe from the separator in the same way.
3. Turn out two bolts of fastening of an adsorber …
4.... and remove the adsorber.
Note. This is what the adsorber looks like. Purchase the exact same replacement.
5. Install the adsorber in the reverse order of removal.
Canister purge valve installed in the engine compartment on the decorative engine cover.
1. To remove the valve, press the retainer..
2.... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the valve.
3. Press the spring clip latch..
4. …remove the clamp…
5.... and remove the valve from its mounting bracket.
6. Loosen the clamp securing the fuel vapor supply hose from the adsorber..
7.... and disconnect the hose from the purge valve fitting.
8. Loosen the clamp securing the fuel vapor supply hose to the throttle assembly..
9.... and disconnect the hose from the valve fitting.
Note. This is what the canister purge valve looks like. Purchase the exact same replacement.
10. Install the canister purge valve in the reverse order of removal.
