Place the vehicle on a lift or inspection ditch. Raise the hood and lock it in this position. Before removing the gearbox, disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery, drain the oil from the gearbox (see «Changing the oil in the gearbox») and remove the starter (see «Removal and installation of a starter»).
1. Disconnect the clutch cable from the clutch release fork and remove it from the bracket on the box (see «Replacing the clutch release cable»).
2. Bend the plastic retainer and disconnect the wiring harness block from the speed sensor.
3. Key «on 10» unscrew the three bolts securing the front cover of the clutch housing..
4.... and remove the cover.
5. Securely support the engine or hang it out with a hoist.
6. Remove the rear support of the power unit (see «Replacing power unit supports»).
7. Having pressed a plastic clamp, disconnect block of a plait of wires from the switch of light of a backing.
8. Key «on 10» unscrew the bolt securing the gearshift pivot housing to the gear selector rod..
9.... and disconnect the gear selection rod together with the hinge from the rod.
10. Key «at 17» remove the two bolts securing the tie rod bracket.
11. Remove wheel drives (see «Removal and installation of front wheel drives»). The right drive can not be removed completely. It is enough to disconnect it from the gearbox and, moving it to the side, hang it to the body.
Attention! Disconnect the right drive only after removing the front cover of the clutch housing (see paragraphs. 3 and 4), otherwise you can bend the cover with a mounting blade, and the flywheel will touch it.
Attention! Do not disconnect both drives at the same time, since in this case the gears of the axle shafts may shift in the differential, then it will be impossible to install the drives without disassembling the gearbox. If it is necessary to disconnect both drives, after disconnecting one of them, insert the technological plug or the old inner hinge housing in its place and tie the plug or housing to the gearbox with wire so that they do not fall out when the gearbox is removed. Then disconnect the second drive
12. Establish a reliable support under a transmission.
13. Key «at 19» unscrew the two bolts of the upper mounting of the gearbox to the engine. Bolt 1 (front in the direction of travel of the vehicle) - short, bolt 2 - long.
14. Key «at 19» unscrew the nut of the lower right fastening of the gearbox to the engine (from the engine side).
15. Key «at 19» unscrew the bolt of the lower left mounting of the gearbox to the engine.
16. Move the gearbox as far back as possible (the input shaft must disengage). While holding the gearbox, remove the support and remove the gearbox from under the car.
Attention! Do not rest the input shaft of the gearbox on the petals of the clutch pressure spring, so as not to damage them.
17. Establish a transmission and all removed details and knots in an order, the return to removal.
Note. Before installing the gearbox, we recommend lubricating the input shaft splines and the outer surface of the clutch release bearing guide bushing with a thin layer of grease.
Note. Check with a special mandrel how the clutch disc is centered (see «Removal and installation of clutch»)
18. If necessary, restore the initial setting of the clutch release cable (see «Replacing the clutch release cable») and adjust the gearbox control actuator (see «Gearbox control drive adjustment»).
19. Fill the gearbox with oil (see «Changing the oil in the gearbox»).
