Replacing the speed sensor (Kalina 1118)

The vehicle speed sensor is located on the gearbox. When the drive wheels rotate, the speed sensor generates 6 pulses per 1 m of movement, and the controller determines the speed of the car based on the frequency of the pulses.

To replace the speed sensor on your car, you will need a 10 mm wrench.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Disconnect the connector with wires from the speed sensor by prying off the plastic latch.



3. Unscrew the nut of the speed sensor mounting stud...



4. ...and remove the speed sensor from the gearbox housing.

5. Install the speed sensor on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
