To replace the ECU on a car (electronic control unit) you will need a Phillips-head screwdriver.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the right floor tunnel trim (see "Removal and installation of floor tunnel linings").
3. Remove the mounting screw and remove the ECU (electronic control unit) engine management systems.
4. Remove the retaining clip...
5. ...and disconnect the connector with wires from the ECU. 6. Install the ECU controller on the car (electronic control unit) in the reverse order of removal.
To activate the anti-theft function of the new ECU controller, it is necessary to perform the learning procedure (see "Immobilizer Key Training"), using the available training and working keys.
