Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the engine splash guard or crankcase protection (if installed).
3. Drain the oil from the gearbox (see "Gearbox - Checking the level and changing the oil").
Note: If necessary, the switch can be reset without draining the oil, but this will inevitably result in some oil spillage. This operation should be performed by placing a wide container underneath.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the switch.

5. Using a socket wrench or a 22 mm deep-head socket wrench, unscrew the switch and remove it.

Installation
1. Install the reversing light switch in reverse order.
2. Fill the gearbox with oil (see "Gearbox - Checking the level and changing the oil").
