Removing
1. We prepare the car for work and disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Having released the lever for adjusting the position of the steering column, mix the steering wheel as far down as possible.
3. Using a short Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the instrument panel lining.
4. Overcoming the resistance of two spring clips (they are put on the lower protrusions of the lining), we take out facing from an aperture of the panel of devices.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the instrument panel.
6. We remove the shield from the instrument panel and, having released the latch, disconnect the wiring harness block from the shield.
7. Remove the instrument panel
Lamp replacement
1. To replace the instrument backlight lamps with pliers, turn the protruding part of the defective lamp socket counterclockwise and remove it together with the lamp from the instrument panel.
2. To replace the display backlight lamp, turn the lamp socket with an 8 mm socket wrench.
3. We install the cartridge with a new lamp in the instrument panel and turn it clockwise until it locks.
Installation
Install the instrument panel in the reverse order of removal.
