Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the ends of the two wires from the switch terminals.

3. Using a 19 mm open-end wrench, loosen the lock nut of the switch. We unscrew the switch from the pedal bracket.

Recommendation. You can check the serviceability of the switch with an ohmmeter or using a test lamp. When the button is in the free position, the switch contacts should be closed, and when the button is pressed, they should open. The faulty switch must be replaced.
Installation
1. Install the brake light switch in the reverse order.
2. After installing the switch, before connecting the wire connectors, check and, if necessary, adjust the position of the brake pedal (see "Brake pedal free play - adjustment").
Warning: After connecting the wires, make sure that the brake lights come on when you lightly press the brake pedal. Otherwise, check the connection of the wires to the switch terminals or repeat the adjustment.
