Advice: If it is necessary to replace one of the cables, we also replace the other cable.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the brake drums, see. "Brake drum - removal and installation").
3. Remove the protective screen (see "Parking brake - adjustment").
4. Loosen the lock nut of the parking brake lever travel adjusting nut (see "Parking brake - adjustment") and unscrew the lock nut.

5. Using a 13 mm deep-head socket wrench and a cardan joint, unscrew the adjusting nut and remove it from the rod.

6. Remove the cable equalizer from the adjusting rod.
7. Disconnect the cable ends from the equalizer.

8. At the brake mechanism of the left rear wheel, using a large slotted screwdriver, move the spacer lever forward and remove the cable eyelet from the hook of the spacer lever.

9. Using a 10 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the nut of the bracket securing the cable to the left arm of the rear suspension.

10. Remove the front end of the cable from the hole in the body bracket.

11. Remove the cable from the two brackets that secure it to the bottom of the body.

12. Remove the cable from the rear suspension beam bracket.

13. We take the cable out of the hole in the support shield of the rear brake mechanism and remove it.

14. Remove the second cable in the same way.
Installation
1. Install the cable in reverse order.
2. After installing the brake drums, adjust the stroke of the parking brake lever (see "Parking brake - adjustment").
