The first oil change on a new or overhauled engine should be done after 2500-3500 km of mileage, then every 15,000 km.

The volume of the lubrication system is 3.5 l.

Recommendation. To remove oil more completely, it should be drained from a warm engine.


To complete the work you will need:
  • inspection ditch or overpass;
  • oil filter remover;
  • wide container with a capacity of at least 4 liters.

Removal



1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

Note: If your vehicle has a skid plate and it obstructs access to the drain hole, remove the plate.


2. Using a 17 mm open-end wrench, loosen the drain plug.

Warning! When performing the following operation, be careful - the oil is hot!

8. Using a clean rag, thoroughly clean the mating surface of the oil filter on the cylinder block.

Recommendation. Before installing a new filter, fill it with oil to ½-⅔ of its volume.


9. Apply clean engine oil to the rubber sealing ring of the filter and screw the filter into place.

14. Start the engine and make sure that the oil pressure warning light has gone out and there are no oil leaks from under the oil filter sealing ring and the drain plug.
