The volume of the lubrication system is 3.5 liters.
Recommendation. For a more complete removal, oil should be drained from a warm engine.
To do the job you need:
- viewing ditch or overpass;
- oil filter puller;
- wide capacity of at least 4 liters.
Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
Comment. If the car is equipped with a crankcase protection and it makes it difficult to access the spruce in the new hole, remove the protection. For convenience, you can also remove the engine mudguard (see «Mudguard of the engine - removal and installation»).
2. On a car with an automatic transmission, loosen the drain plug with a 17 mm spanner.
On a car with a manual gearbox, with an 8 mm hex wrench, loosen the fastener of the drain plug.
3. We install a container for used oil under the engine.
Attention! When performing the following operation, be careful - the oil is hot!
4. We turn off the drain plug of the engine crankcase and drain the oil from the engine into a container.
5. After waiting for the oil to completely drain from the engine crankcase, we wrap the drain plug.
6. Loosen the oil filter with a puller.
7. Turn off the oil filter and remove it.
8. With a clean rag, carefully clean the mating surface of the oil filter on the cylinder block.
9. We apply clean engine oil to the rubber o-ring of the filter and wrap the filter in place.
10. Tighten the filter by hand.
Comment. First, we wrap the filter until its sealing ring comes into contact with the mating plane of the cylinder block. Then, from this position, tighten the filter 1/2-3/4 turn.
11. Having turned away, remove the oil filler cap.
12. We install a funnel in the neck. Pour oil into the engine, controlling its level according to the pointer (see above, «Oil level - check»).
13. We wrap the oil filler cap.
14. We start the engine and make sure that the emergency oil pressure warning lamp goes out and there are no oil leaks from under the oil filter sealing ring and drain plug.
