1. Remove the gearbox from the car (see «Removal and installation of a transmission»).
2. Disengage the ends of the spring clip from engagement with the clutch release bearing.
3. Remove the clutch release bearing from the guide sleeve.
4. Depress the four tabs of the spring holder and remove the holder. Then remove the clutch bearing from the clutch.
5. Check the new bearing before installation. It should rotate easily, without jamming and without backlash.
6. Install the clutch release bearing on the clutch (the protruding part of the inner ring must be directed away from the coupling) and fix it with the holder.
7. Apply a thin layer of grease to the guide sleeve before installing the clutch release bearing on the vehicle.
8. Fix the coupling with the clutch bearing with a spring retainer and install the gearbox in place.
