Replacing the air filter element (Kalina 1118)

The replacement of the air filter element is regulated - every 30,000 km. However, the condition of the air filter depends on the operating conditions of the vehicle: on dustier and more polluted roads, the element becomes clogged faster.

To replace the air filter element on your car, you will need a Phillips-head screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Release the retainer and disconnect the wire harness connector from the mass air flow sensor.



3. Remove the four screws securing the air filter cover...



4. ... lift the cover, slightly bending the air supply pipe, and remove the air filter element from the cover.

5. If necessary, remove dust and dirt from the air filter housing.



6. Install the new filter element into the cover, orienting it in the same way as the previous one.

7. Install the air filter cover together with the filter element and tighten the screws that secure it.

8. Connect the wire harness connector to the mass air flow sensor.
