Replacing the air filter element (XRAY 1)

The air filter element must be replaced every 30 thousand km. When operating a vehicle in a dusty area, the mileage between element replacements should be reduced by 1.52 times. A deformed or damaged element must be replaced regardless of the mileage.

A faulty or heavily soiled air filter element can cause severe wear and loss of engine power.



Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the filter cover.

We lift the lid...

...and remove the air filter element.

We clean the cavities of the housing and the air filter cover and install the new element in the reverse order.

When installed, the corrugations of the filter element must be positioned parallel to the arrow marked on the air duct inside the filter housing.

We install the filter cover and tighten the mounting screws.
