The engine mudguard is removed if it is damaged or to provide access to the components and assemblies from underneath the vehicle during repairs and maintenance.
Note: The left part of the mudguard is shown being removed; the right part is removed in the same way. To remove the engine splash guard from the car, you will need a 10 mm wrench.

1. Remove the two screws securing the left side of the mudguard to the body side member...

2. ...two screws a, simultaneously securing both parts of the mudguard, two screws b fastening the left part to the body cross member.
3. Remove the left side of the engine splash guard. The right part of the engine mudguard is removed in a similar manner.
4. Install the engine splash guard on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
