Before removing the alternator drive belt, mark the direction of its rotation with an arrow.
1. Remove the generator drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Replacing the Belt and Tensioner Roller").
2. Remove the wire tips from the contact bolt.
3. Disconnect the wires from the generator (see "Voltage Regulator - Replacement").
4. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the nut on the upper generator mounting bolt.

5. Using a 17 mm socket wrench, unscrew the generator lower mounting bolt.

6. Remove the bolts from the generator bracket and remove the generator.

7. To avoid losing them, remove the nut and bolt sleeve from the generator bracket.

8. If necessary, remove the tensioning mechanism (see "Generator Drive Belt - Replacing the Belt and Tensioner Roller") and, having unscrewed three bolts with a 13 mm socket wrench, remove the generator bracket.

We install the generator in the reverse order.
After installing the generator, adjust the tension of its drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Checking Condition and Adjusting Tension").
