Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew two screws on both sides of the steering column...

...and two screws securing the pads to each other 2. Using the same screwdriver, unscrew the three screws 1 securing the lower pad to the steering column.

3. Move the steering column locking lever down to the stop and lower the steering column.
4. Remove the lower cover, removing the lever through the hole.

5. Remove the rubber ring from the ignition switch (lock).
6. Remove the upper steering column cover.

Installation
We install the pads in the reverse order.
