Gas door struts — replacement (Kalina 1119)

To complete the work you will need a wooden strip about 1.5 m long.

Removal

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Open the trunk door and install a wooden strip as a stop.

3. Disconnect the luggage compartment shelf cords from the door.

4. Using a 13 mm open-end wrench, first unscrew the lower and then the upper ball pins of the stop and remove the stop from the car.

Installation

We install the gas strut in the reverse order.

We replace the second stop in the same way.
