Recommendation. Before starting work, purchase several spare door upholstery holders, as the holders often break during the dismantling process.
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the door pillar trim (see «External rear-view mirror - removal and installation»).
3. Remove the ceiling light threshold (see «Threshold illumination cover - removal, replacement of the lamp and installation»).
4. Using the TORX T20 wrench, we unscrew the three bolts of the lower fastening.
5. Remove the power window control unit...
... using a TORX T20 wrench, unscrew the inner fastening bolt...
...and a bolt in the door handle.
6. Use a thin slotted screwdriver to pry off the plug...
... and with a TORX T20 key, unscrew the rear mounting bolt.
7. Next, starting from the bottom, applying a little effort, alternately disconnect the upholstery holders from the door panel.
8. Upholstery is attached with four holders.
9. We check their condition and replace the faulty ones.
10. Install the parts in reverse order.
