Recommendation. Before you begin, purchase several spare door trim holders, as the holders often break during dismantling.

Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the door pillar trim (see "Outside rear view mirror - removal and installation").
3. Remove the threshold lighting lamp (see "Threshold Lighting Ceiling - Removal, Lamp Replacement and Installation").

4. Using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the three lower mounting bolts.

5. Remove the window lift control unit...

...using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the internal fastening bolt...

...and a bolt in the door handle.

6. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, pry off the plug...

...and using a TORX T20 key, unscrew the rear mounting bolt.

7. Next, starting from the bottom, applying a little force, we alternately detach the trim holders from the door panel.
8. The upholstery is secured with four holders.

9. We check their condition and replace faulty ones.

10. Install the parts in reverse order.
