Outside rear view mirror — removal and installation (Vesta 2180)

The mirror assembly must be replaced if the housing or adjustment mechanism is damaged.

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Disconnect the upper retainer 1, disengage the two lower stops 2 and move the trim away from the door pillar.



3. Press the lock, disconnect the speaker wire harness connector and remove the cover.

4. Using a thin slotted screwdriver, press the lock...



...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the mirror.





5. Using a 10 mm socket wrench or TORX T20, unscrew the three mirror mounting nuts and remove it.



6. Install the new mirror in reverse order.
