Figure 3.12. Adjusting the mechanically driven outside rearview mirrors 1 – Handle. 2 – Rearview mirror.
To reduce driver distraction and improve the ease of use of the multimedia system, additional, remote controls for multimedia equipment are located on the steering wheel (Figure 3.11).
Spherical exterior rear-view mirrors increase the field of view, making reflected objects appear further away than they actually are.
For this reason, mirrors can be of limited use in assessing the distance to objects behind. Rear view mirrors 2 with mechanical drive (Figure 3.12) are adjusted by turning handle 1 in the appropriate direction.
Figure 3.13. Adjusting the electrically operated rearview mirrors (in a variant design). 1. – Switch handle. 2. – Switch housing.
In the variant version, the rear-view mirrors are adjusted using an electric drive.
To activate the left (right) mirror drive, turn handle 1 (Figure 3.13) left (right), aligning the mark on the handle with the left (right) mark on the body of the 2 switch. The mirror is adjusted by moving handle 1 in the appropriate direction.
The central mark on the body is the neutral position.

Caution! In winter conditions, water that gets inside the exterior mirror housing may freeze, which may result in increased effort or limitations in adjusting the mirror position. do not use excessive force or additional tools to change the position of the mirrors, this will damage the mirrors and adjustment mechanisms. wait for the mechanisms to defrost (use, for example, heated mirrors, wash your car in a warm room, etc.) and adjust the mirrors to the position you need. Blow off any remaining water from the mirrors with compressed air. When cleaning snow from outside mirrors, try to prevent snow from getting inside the mirror housings.
Heated and folding mirrors
When the engine is running, heated outside mirrors (in a variant design) is provided simultaneously with the heating of the rear window when the corresponding switch is turned on.
If necessary (during parking) the exterior mirrors can be folded.
To do this, press the mirror housing against the car body manually. To return the mirror to its working position, you need to press slightly on its body in the opposite direction.
