Note: When removing the door trim, there is a high probability of breaking its plastic holders, so before starting work, stock up on a sufficient number of new holders (8 pcs.).
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the inner trim of the outside rearview mirror (see above, "Outside rear view mirror - removal and installation").
3. Unscrew the door lock button.
4. Prying with an awl (or a slotted screwdriver with a narrow, thin blade) plug, remove it.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the armrest mounting screw.
6. Pull the inner handle of the lock, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screw and remove the handle.
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the armrest mounting screw (located in a niche)...
...and two screws for attaching a pocket for small items.
8. Using a slotted screwdriver, insert it between the upholstery and the door, we remove the eight upholstery holders from the door holes one by one and move the upholstery away from the door...
... (the location of the holders is shown on the removed upholstery).
9. Disconnect the two wiring harness connectors from the window switch unit.
10. Remove the upholstery.
11. If necessary, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws securing the energy-absorbing insert and remove it.
Installation
We install the upholstery in the reverse order, replacing the damaged holders with new ones.
