Comment. When removing the door upholstery, there is a high probability of breakage of its plastic holders, so stock up on a sufficient number of new holders before starting work (8 pcs).
Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. Remove the inner lining of the outside rear-view mirror (see above, «External rear-view mirror - removal and installation»).
3. We turn out the door lock button.
4. Prying with an awl (or a slotted screwdriver with a narrow, thin blade) cap, remove it.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the armrest mounting screw.
6. Pulling the inner handle of the lock, unscrew the screw with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the handle.
7. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw securing the armrest (located in a niche)...
...and two self-tapping screws for attaching a pocket for small items.
8. With a slotted screwdriver, inserting it between the upholstery and the door, we alternately remove the eight upholstery holders from the door holes and remove the upholstery from the door...
... (the location of the holders is shown on the removed upholstery).
9. Disconnect the two pads of the wiring harnesses from the power window switch block.
10. Remove the upholstery.
11. If necessary, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the four screws securing the energy-absorbing insert and remove it.
Installation
We install the upholstery in the reverse order, replacing the damaged holders with new ones.
