The alternator drive belt must bend 10 mm at a force of 100 N (10 kgf). Otherwise, adjust the alternator belt tension.
To check the tension of the alternator drive belt and replace it on a car, you will need: keys «for 8», «at 19».
1. In order to tighten the alternator drive belt, loosen the lock nut and unscrew the alternator belt tensioner rod to the required amount, thereby ensuring that the tension roller is pressed against the belt. To loosen the tension, turn the stem to the required amount.
2. To replace the alternator belt, loosen the lock nut and screw in the tensioner rod.
3. Remove the alternator drive belt from under the tensioner pulley and remove the belt from the crankshaft pulley and alternator pulley.
4. Install the alternator belt on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
