Checking the alternator drive belt tension (Priora 2170)

According to the manufacturer's recommendation, the tension of the alternator drive belt should be checked every 15 thousand km.



1. Check the tension of the generator drive belt by pressing it with your finger between the generator and crankshaft pulleys. When pressed with a force of 100 N (10 kgf), the belt deflection should be 8–12 mm.

Note: To check the tension, you can use a spring balance scale by pulling the belt branch with a hook.

2. To adjust the belt tension, loosen the nut securing the generator to the tension bracket.



3. Adjust the belt tension with the adjusting bolt.

4. Tighten the generator mounting nut to the tension bar to a torque of 21 N·m.
