Removal, replacing and installing the trunk lid lock drive (Kalina 1118)

The trunk lid lock drive is of a non-separable design and cannot be repaired. Replace the defective trunk lid lock drive.

To remove, replace and install the trunk lid lock drive on a car, you will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, an 8 mm wrench.



1. Remove the four plastic fasteners from the trunk lid lock actuator trim.



2. Remove the trunk lid lock actuator cover.

3. Disconnect the rod from the trunk lid lock drive...





4. ...unscrew the two nuts securing the trunk lid lock drive.



5. Remove the lock drive from the trunk lid.

6. Replace a torn or loose sealing gasket; replace the trunk lid lock drive if necessary.

7. Lubricate the trunk lid lock drive cylinder with VTV-1 grease in an aerosol can and install the trunk lid lock drive on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
