On a car, the rubber cushions of the suspension of the exhaust system are replaced if, due to their damage or excessive deformation, the elements of the system begin to knock, in contact with the body or with other units of the car.
The secondary muffler and the front part of the main muffler are suspended on three identical rubber pads...
...and the back of the main muffler - on one rubber cushion of the original form.
1. To replace the rear suspension cushion of the main muffler, bend the two antennae of the bracket on the body.
2. Having lifted the muffler, remove its bracket from the rear cushion.
3. Take out a pillow from an arm on a body.
4. Install a new rubber pad in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate the installation of the rear rubber cushion, grease the muffler bracket with soapy water.
5. To replace the front rubber suspension pad of the main muffler, lift the muffler, remove the pad from the bracket on the body...
6.... and then from the bracket on the muffler. Install the new rubber pad in the reverse order of removal.
Reinstall all removed parts on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
