1. To replace the main muffler on a vehicle, do the following: unscrew the nuts of the two clamp bolts securing the main muffler pipe to the additional muffler pipe, remove one of the bolts and remove the clamp.
2. Disconnect the muffler pipes and remove the metal-graphite sealing ring.
3. Raise the muffler and remove its brackets from the rear muffler suspension cushion...

5. Install the new main muffler on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate installation into the rear cushion, lubricate the muffler bracket with a soap solution.
