Replacing the additional muffler (Kalina 1118)

1. To replace the additional muffler on a vehicle, do the following: disconnect the pipes of the additional and main mufflers (see "Replacing the main muffler").



2. Bend back tab 1 of the locking plate and two locking tabs 2 of the catalytic converter heat shield.



3. Unscrew the three nuts securing the flange of the additional muffler's inlet pipe to the catalytic converter flange, remove the locking plate and heat shield.



4. After lifting the additional muffler, remove its bracket from the front suspension cushion.





5. Remove the flange of the additional muffler inlet pipe from the catalytic converter studs and remove the sealing gasket.



6. While supporting the additional muffler, remove its bracket from the rear suspension cushion and remove the additional muffler.

7. Install the additional muffler and all removed parts on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal. Don't forget to lock the nuts securing the muffler inlet pipe flange by bending the tabs of the locking plate and heat shield onto them.
