1. To remove the rear heat shield of the additional muffler, first disconnect the pipes of the additional and main mufflers (see "Replacing the main muffler").
2. Unscrew the four nuts securing it to the base of the body and, pressing the additional muffler down as far as the elasticity of the rubber suspension cushions allows, remove the heat shield.
3. To remove the front heat shield of the additional muffler, also unscrew the four nuts securing it to the base of the body and remove the heat shield.
4. Install the heat shields on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
