Replacing the exhaust system suspension cushions (Priora 2170)

The rubber mounts of the exhaust system suspension are replaced if, due to damage or excessive deformation, the system elements begin to knock when in contact with the body or other vehicle components.



The additional muffler and the front part of the main muffler are suspended on three identical pads…



…and the rear part of the main muffler is on one cushion of an original shape.



1. To replace the rear suspension cushion of the main muffler, remove its bracket from the rear cushion…





2. …and lower the muffler.



3. Remove the cushion from the bracket on the body using a screwdriver.



4. Install the new cushion in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate installation of the rear cushion, lubricate the muffler bracket with a soap solution.



5. To replace the front suspension cushion of the main muffler, lift the muffler and pry it up with a screwdriver..





6. … remove the muffler bracket from the cushion.



7. In a similar way, using a screwdriver..



8. …remove the cushion from the bracket on the body.

9. Install the new cushion in the reverse order of removal.

Note: The additional muffler suspension cushions are replaced in the same way as the front suspension cushion of the main muffler.
